Q: Can you tell us about the moment that sparked the idea for Dalilak?

Answer from the CEO:
“When I came back to Lebanon after spending several years in the U.S., I thought getting back to everyday life would be simple. But anytime I needed a plumber, a cleaning service, or even a hairstylist, I struggled to find someone reliable, available, or even reachable. Everything felt disconnected. No platform, no reviews, no easy way to search. That’s when I realized, if I was facing this, so were thousands of others.”

 Q: What is Dalilak’s mission today?

Answer:
“Our mission is to make finding trusted services as easy as ordering food online. We want to empower users to find what they need quickly and locally, while also helping small service providers grow by giving them visibility. It’s about convenience, community, and connection.”

Q: How does Dalilak help both users and service providers?

Answer:
“For users, it’s about saving time and feeling confident in who you’re hiring. You can browse by category, read reviews, and find someone nearby.
For service providers, especially small businesses, we offer a platform to be seen and booked, and we support them with free promotions on our social media to help them reach more customers.”

Challenges in Starting Dalilak

 Q: What were some challenges in starting this business?

Answer:
“Trust and education were big hurdles. Many people still rely on word-of-mouth, so introducing a digital platform took time. We had to build trust with both users and providers, make the interface simple, and constantly improve the experience.”

A Vision for the Future

Q: Where do you see Dalilak going in the next 5 years?

Answer:
“My vision is for Dalilak to become the number one platform for finding local services across all of Lebanon. We want to be in every household and every neighborhood. Maybe one day, we will consider expanding to other parts of the Levant where the need is similar, but for now, our focus is entirely on Lebanon. We want to serve our community deeply before thinking of growing outward.”
